2. COUPLE RETREAT

Maja: I got in! I'll be studying Communication at the San Sequoia faculty!

Filip: CONGRATULATIONS!

Anna: So exciting! We are SO proud!

Maja: I have to tell grandma!

Filip: You'll have to wait a bit for that, grandma sent an email, they really did go to Tomarang with grandpa.

Klara: "My dears, I am writing to you from the newest world! Tomarang is simply beautiful. We arrived when it was already dusk, but the views charmed us from the start."

On the first day we allowed ourselves a bit of relaxation and pleasure. The next day we took advantage of the sun and cooled off in the hotel pool.

In the afternoon we went to the city. Tomarang is completely different from any world we have ever known! The city is very colorful, although during the day it seems quite deserted.

Only in the evening more people appeared on the streets and the city came alive a bit. The night market was interesting! I bought us some local clothes, very comfortable. And of course we tried the street food. Quite spicy food, but we managed.

Unfortunately, on the way back we got a bit lost and had an accident... Akito still reminds me of that...

The hotel has very good food. And the nearby beach is very nice, with completely transparent water. You can swim basically anywhere in the world!

One morning we wandered all the way to a local cave. The guidebooks say you can find some creatures there, but I didn't see anything. But I did find some kind of tassel, I think it's a local product, or maybe even an antique! I have to check it out.

The National Park was interesting, but apparently that's because the Watcher recently carried out a real revolution there. In any case, everyone will find something for themselves there, and you can even see animals. We also gave gifts to the ancestors, it might bring us luck.

The temple was a bit of a disappointment, basically a rabbit hole and a moodlet. The real attraction was the local club, the Screaming Gecko. Your grandpa put on a few shows there! I didn't know he could sing so well!

And Tomarani nights are a completely different story. Did you know that there are completely different stars there than in our place?

One morning we were woken up by an earthquake! I thought we were all going to die and the whole lot would collapse, but luckily that also ended up being just a moodlet.

The guidebooks also mentioned a Tiger Sanctuary, so of course we had to see it! It was a truly amazing experience, although none of us saw any tigers. But we did adopt one! It's a shame they only sent a mascot.

Although we thoroughly enjoyed the food, culture and atmosphere of Tomarang, your Grandpa and I both felt homesick. Although I must admit that I briefly considered settling down here permanently in one of the rental houses, but I quickly pushed that thought aside. Moving would have killed me, and we would have had to sell the shop.

One evening, in the heat of the moment, we renewed our wedding vows. But look at the pictures, wasn't it romantic?

Your Grandpa tells me to make it short because we're leaving, so I'll just quickly say that we met a few locals. They grumble a bit about tourists and planes (or maybe I misunderstood the speech bubble above their heads), but they also gave me some local gossip and stories.

And I think that when I get home, I'll probably write another book or two, this time referring to their culture and legends. In the meantime, I hug you tightly and send you warm greetings from tropical Tomarang!

Bye! Your Grandma Klara"
