4. NOT SO GOOD

Over the next few days, Enue decides to start cooking, they can't eat reheated pizza every day.

Maja: It smells so good!

Enue: It's a family recipe, traditional Sulani toast.

Maja is getting to know the area, walking with Marshmallow. She's also arranged to meet Tomi for the weekend. Someone's going to have a date! We have to go shopping later.

Student life is going well. Maja discovers that soccer can be fun. Izi isn't sure if studying is her strong point, the lectures are a bit overwhelming. And Enue jogs every day to stay fit.

Unfortunately, Maja received sad news from home. Her grandmother, Penny, had passed away. And although Maja didn't really know her well, she was still her grandmother.

The sad news greatly impacted Maja. She can't focus.

Student: Hey, we have Introduction to Journalism together, right? Where this sad face comes from, Beautiful?

Student: Or, don't tell, it doesn't matter, but I know the perfect way to cheer you up.

Maja: Juice-pong... Seriously...?!

Student: Don't underestimate the power of good, classic juice-pong! Look I throw with my eyes closed!

Maja: And now I have to drink? That's just great... 😒

But after a while Maja felt a rivalry instinct and indeed was cheered up.

Maja: I'll get even soon... I got it!

Student: And THAT I understand! Smile suits you, Beautiful.

Maja: Maybe this game isn't so bad after all.

Student: I told you! I'm Jace btw.

Maja: Maja. You're a bit cringe, you know that?

Jace: Yeah, people say that! I have to run to my next class, see you in the next Introduction to Journalism!

The day of the exams has arrived. Izi is a bit panicked about the exams, but Maja isn't worried about her grades at all. On her way home from school, she stopped by to buy an outfit for a date, and then she even met a few new Sims and exchanged fashion news with them.

However, the exams didn't go too well... Neither did the match Maja played...

Maja: I failed Basics of Communication! How is this even possible?! I have literally Outgoing trait, communication is my second name!

Izi: I think I'll drop studies.

Maja: I think I'll drop soccer. I'm so hopeless at it anyway, and it just takes up my time.

Enue: Ok, enough whining, we'll study together during the weekend.

Izi: You're so positive, cause you're the only one who passed all exams, nerd.

Maja: I have a date with Tomi on weekend...

Izi: Entire weekend? Come on. Sunday it's studying time!

Next day brought another trouble. Marshmallow went missing. Maja decided to ask neighbors if they saw it anywhere. But no one saw nothing.

Kyle: Oh no... That's awful. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a dog like that. I'll let you know if I do.

Even though Maja is not really in the mood right now, she went on a date with Tomi.

Tomi: This San Sequoia is pretty, very colorful.

Maja: Right? Completely different from Sulani, I needed this change. And what about you?

Tomi: I'm already a second-year student of Fine Arts, specializing in Music.

Maja: You have to teach me to play the guitar sometime, like you suggested.

Maja told Tomi about the recent sad events.

Maja: First grandma, now Marshmallow. On top of that, this session went so badly. I feel like one more bad news and I'll fall apart completely.

Tomi: I'm so sorry you didn't get to say goodbye to grandma. But I'm convinced Marshmallow will be found soon.

Maja: I hope...

Tomi: And you know the exams, don't worry about it, you'll pass next time. Listen, I'm playing a concert with a band tomorrow night in San Seqouoi, in Manzanita. Maybe you'd like to come and get away from it all?

Maja: We have a study day tomorrow with the girls, but I'll see what I can do.

The date ended and Maja was surprised with a kiss goodbye.

Enue: Oh my, was that Tomi? That must have been a good date!

Maja: Hehe, yes, it was very nice. But I still don't know what to think, I have the impression that we are very different. We'll see.

While the date was really nice and comforting, Maja has a strong feeling that they have quite bad social compatibility. Let's not worry about it now and just enjoy the moment.

The same evening someone knocked on their door.

Maja: Jace? Marshmallow?? OMW, you brought her back!

Jace: So here we meet again, Beautiful! Yes, she was barking helplessly in my neighborhood. She didn't have a collar, but luckily I saw your online alert about her missing.

Maja: I was afraid I wouldn't see her again. How can I thank you?

Jace: That's nothing, it's enough reward to see you smiling. See you in class, Beautiful!
