31. CHANCE FOR A SUCCESS

It didn't work out with MasterCook for Maja, but her PR agency isn't giving up.

Agent: How about Sims 4 Castaway? It looks like a really interesting reality show!

Maja: And I would have to spend some time on a desert island, right?




Agent: Exactly one year, love, unless you drop out of the program earlier. They would take you on the spot, because of your followers number, without audition. Imagine, a year on a paradise island! Just you and the nature! A fairy tale!




Maja: Riiight. I think I'll pass.

Agent: Just think about it! It's a big opportunity! I don't know if I'll find you another program like this!

Maja: No, really, thanks. I'll take a chance.





That day Maja got another call, this time from Bastian's school.

Maja: I'm sorry, he did WHAT? He drew an inappropriate picture?! And it was supposed to be a Valentine for the art classes project, right? And what is he saying? That it's a rocket?




Maja: No, ma'am, do you really think that an 8-year-old who loves space would draw an inappropriate picture if he claims to have drawn a rocket? YOU NEED HELP, WOMAN!




He got away with drawing, but other artistic manifestations did not make the cut...

Let's appreciate also the fact that Hunter (the dog) joined Bastian in this manifestation, although in his own way 🤭




Bastian, although a straight-A student, and one would think he no longer believes in such things, still likes to talk to his friend, the monster under the bed, and tell him his secrets. Today he certainly told him that art is not his comfort zone.




Rain or no rain, we're taking Kindness Day seriously in San Sequoia. Today there is a march around the lake to fight disease.

And the next day the group celebrated Carnivalfest at their favorite club, Manzanita.

Maja: What a night out, after all these years! And guess what's tonight? That's right, karaoke night! Ladies and gentlemen, the stage is mine today!




Jace: How's parenting going? I heard you got lucky again.

Dominik: No complaints yet.

Jamar: Exactly, not yet. Teen riots are coming soon. Well, here's to our health, parents!




Izi: I have news for you. You'll thank me later. I spoke to Orange recently. His mother will be on the jury in a new program, it's called Project SimStyle. They're looking for new faces. I recommended you. And they're interested.




Maja: SimStyle? Am I right to think that this is a program for...

Izi: For Stylists, yes! The best ones in the industry.

Maja: But I haven't promoted anything on Trendi for ages. Sometimes I post a thing about fashion on SimTube, but generally I fell out of the loop.




Izi: Don't worry, from what I've seen, your Simstagram is still doing well, and I'm sure you'll catch up with trends quickly. And I remember that you've always loved fashion, maybe it's time to get back into it?

Maja: We need to drink to that. I don't know how I'll ever repay you for this.




Another day at school, another day of joy on Bastian's face. Today is science class - a perfect lesson to start the week perfectly. Mary and Barb (Izi's twins) finally aged to children and also joined the class, although they don't look too happy about it.




Practical lessons are also going quite well. Additionally, Bas managed to complete another aspiration.




Mr. Fly: Bastian, you're doing great in class, your skills, enthusiasm, and progress are impressive. Have you considered entering the Science Fair?

Bas: No! Do you think I have a chance?




Mr. Fly: I think you should try. Even if you don't win, the experience is what counts. Besides, you'd probably be the youngest participant. Join our Science Club, we'll help you prepare. Think about it. 




Meanwhile, Maja is taking advantage of her own chance as one of ten participants in the new reality show Project SimStyle. The studio impressed her, but will she impress the jury? Find out in the next chapter... ;)

Chronicles of Del Sol Valley Izi's parents decided to take a break from the hustle of an ordinary city and went to an extraordinary city, full of celebrities on every corner. San Sequoia was close, so they first came to visit Izi, and then they started the actual vacation in Del Sol Valley. Hotspots were everywhere and full of famous Sims.
