46. LA VIE EN ROSE (1)

After the wedding, Ollie stayed at Bas' place for a few days. For one thing, she wanted to spend some time with her dad, and for another, she seriously needed to catch up with Elena. It had been forever since they’d seen each other!

She was just on her way to visit her now. 

She couldn’t wait to see what her friend thought about her new look. 

Nettie followed her around nonstop, whining for Ollie to play with her.

Olimpia: Not now, Nessy-Messy, I don’t have time. I’m going to see my friend.

Nettie: But I’m your fwiend...

Olimpia: More like an annoying little sister.

Ollie was going through another one of her mean teenage phases, and teasing Nettie was way too funny. But Nettie didn't like it.

Nettie: Dat wasn’t nice. Say sowwy.

Olimpia: Fine. Sorry. You’re not an annoying little sister, you’re just… a PlantSim!

Nettie: I not!!

Olimpia: Byeee, Nessy-Messy!

Nettie: I NOT A PWANT!!!

Elena: We HAVE TO go there!

Olimpia: I dunno if my parents would let me.

Elena: But this chance might never happen again!!! Think about it! Hazel & Nuts! In Oasis Springs! We don’t even have to travel super far, it’s literally the next town over!

Olimpia: If you can convince my parents, then sure.

Elena: Will do!

Elena: You know… I kinda have to confess something… Regina and I… let’s just say our relationship leveled up.

Olimpia: Wait, you mean you two actually… did it?!! And?? What was it like?

Elena: Well… I don’t really have anything to compare it to, but honestly? It was amazing.

Olimpia: I seriously dunno  how you do it. Constantly meeting people, they like you, stuff just happens. Now Wren met someone. I swear something’s wrong with me. Nobody likes me like that.

Elena: GIRL, what are you even talking about!? There is absolutely nothing wrong with you. Why would you even think that?

 

Elena: Besides… I actually know at least one person who’s very into you… Honestly, you could give Diego a chance. He’s been dying to ask you out, he just has no idea how to start.

Olimpia: Diego? Be so for real right now.

Elena: Bestie, he has a crush on you ever since we met at camp! Just don’t tell him I told you!

Olimpia: Hmm… I don’t know… I like Diego, but…

Elena: Hey, no pressure. But honestly? It’d be kinda cute if things worked out between you two.

Olimpia: I’ll think about it. But look what I found while gathering prairie grass! I barely managed to smuggle it past my mom!

Elena: Actual strawberry wine?! Ooooh, and it’s GOOD too!

Olimpia: I’ve literally never had wine before. Or any alcohol, actually. But whatever, you only live once!

Under the influence of the strawberry drink, Ollie slipped into a romantic mood and made a decision.

Elena: That was really good...

Olimpia: Right? You know what… maybe I could give Diego a chance. Why not? And if things worked out, we’d basically be real sisters!

Elena: That would be soooo awesome...

By the time Olimpia was heading home at dawn, the alcohol had mostly worn off, but her head was still spinning… A famous hangover. Definitely not a pleasant feeling.

And then, she spotted someone she absolutely hated… Carmen Benitez. Ollie tried to scare her with an urban legend, but…

Yeah… that didn’t really work out.

Carmen: Don’t tell me you actually believe that nonsense! OMW, you’re seriously scared of it! Maybe if you stayed in school you’d know how to tell facts from fairy tales. Oh wait, I forgot, you got expelled! Hahaha!

That was the last straw for Ollie.

And wanna know what happened with Carmen’s mom, Guadelupe? Well, after the save file chaos, Sammy Garcia ended up wearing the blue bear costume again, and Guadelupe ran into him right after wishing for love at the fountain. Naturally, she took it as a sign that she was destined to help this poor bear-Sim.

You can guess how it ended. This time, Guadelupe wasn’t about to let a potential lover slip through her fingers, and she quickly made him her official boyfriend. They lived happily ever after :P

Unless Neighborhood Stories decides to completely ruin everything, which I’m not gonna interfere with ^^

Meanwhile, Ollie did go on a date with Diego. Unfortunately, a local fashionista interrupted them. He sat on Diego's place and stole the entire spotlight with his artsy “blah blah, blah blah.” To Diego’s horror, Ollie laughed to tears. Diego definitely preferred being the one making Ollie laugh.

For the next date, they picked a different activity. For a moment, things even got kinda romantic. Diego managed to brush Ollie’s hand and was juuuust about to hold it… but then he lost his balance, while Ollie, completely oblivious, skated away. Still, at least he made her laugh.

During the Carnival, they went to the amusement park because Ollie had this whim. Ollie finally met Elena’s girlfriend, Regina Landgraab herself. Honestly, the double date turned out pretty fun.

While Ollie and Diego were taking goofy pictures together, Elena and Regina went all in at the Tunnel of Love.

Ollie and Diego went on the ride too. Ollie didn’t really have any huge expectations. Unlike Diego.

As it turned out, the guy very obviously wanted to kiss her. Ollie was curious about the new experience, so she just went with the flow. And honestly? It was nice.

But is “nice” really enough?
