10. WINTERFEST'S COME, WINTERFEST'S GONE
The festive day at the Drozd family kicks off with a new milestone. Maja has mastered the skill of grabbing food with her little fingers!
Filip: Way to go, little pumpkin!
...and of course, you had to spit it all out.
All the guests have arrived; it's time to start Winterfest!
Klara: Everyone, take your seats at the table! Antos, you've grown so much—I wouldn’t have recognized you without the name tags floating above your heads.
Nicolas: Antos is in his final year of school now and has joined the swim team.
Zoe: Didn’t you actually start that swim team? What are you up to now?
Filip: I’m currently researching the ecosystem of Sulani, working with other ecologists to improve the state of the islands.
Zoe: That’s an impressive project! How’s your little one doing?
Anna: She’s hitting milestones so fast! Once she’s up from her nap, she’ll probably surprise us with something new.
Akito: So, have you settled into San Myshuno yet?
Piotr: Yeah, Dad. We found the perfect apartment in the Fashion District. We wanted the Arts District, but this one was more affordable.
Yuki: Plus, it has two bedrooms, so there’s space for a nursery.
Anna: A nursery? Are you...?
Yuki: Not yet, but we’re thinking about it.
Filip: Dad, I’ve been getting better at handiness—I’m already at level five!
Yuki: How long have you been friends with the Drozd family?
Nicolas: Almost from the very beginning. It’s hard to believe so much time has passed.
Anna: Maja, since you’re awake now, let’s get you something to eat.
Anna: Okay, so avocado purée isn’t your favorite. What else do we have on the list?
Klara: What are you feeding kids these days? Back in my time, we just gave them peas. Here, Maja, try some green pea purée. Hmm... Well, looks like you’ve got a picky eater here.
Zoe: She’s so tiny. Imagine, we missed out on this! If the Watcher had started this save a bit later, we’d be handling little ones too.
Anna: Here, let me show her Father Winter.
Father Winter: What would a sweet little girl like you want from Father Winter?
Anna: She can’t talk yet, but I’m sure a toy would make her happy. :)
Filip: Maja, shall we dance a little? Look at her groove to the music!
Anna: Get her off that floor; she’s going to catch a cold!
A few photos to remember this wonderful Winterfest.
The next day, Anna received a mysterious phone call.
Agata Zadecka: I’m calling to let you know that if you get married within seven days, you’ll inherit a fortune from your fifth cousin.
Anna: A fifth cousin? I didn’t think my family was that big! What do you think, Filip?
Filip: What have we got to lose?
Anna: True… We’ve been engaged for ages anyway!
Filip: Then let’s start planning!
Anna: Okay, now we need to quickly pick a date and get everything ready.
Klara: How about Love Day? It’s in exactly seven days—you should be able to make it.
Anna: That’s actually a good idea.
Filip: We’ll need to plan this carefully. With the new My Wedding Stories pack, weddings aren’t as easy as they were in your day, Mom.
Filip also got a phone call that day, but a different kind.
Kazik: Man, it’s been ages! Since you’re in town, what do you think about spending New Year’s together? You, Anna, me, and Bella?
Filip: Maybe next time. Tomorrow is both New Year’s and our daughter’s first birthday.
Kazik: Next time, huh? By then, we might both be grandparents with how quickly time flies in this game. Haha, I get it. I’ll hold you to that—next time!
Maja’s birthday arrived.
Klara: Come here, sweetheart, let’s get you all cleaned up and pretty—it’s your special day.
Anna: Time to blow out the candles, Maja. Mama will help you.
Maja: Mama!
Anna: Did you just say that? Your first word, my little pumpkin!
And so, Maja completed almost all her infant milestones (except crawling; she went straight to walking!) and aged up to a toddler. She rolled the Angel trait, replacing Sunny.
Who could stop the birthday girl from eating a giant slice of cake? Though it didn’t seem like she enjoyed it much...
Klara: Maja, I have a present for you. I wrote this book especially for you."
Maja: Bookie! Mine!
Filip: Happy birthday, little pumpkin.
Before they knew it, it was midnight.
Akito: Happy New Year, son! I wish you a great wedding, despite My Wedding Stories!
Akito worked on converting Maja’s crib, looking visibly emotional.
Akito: And that’s when little Maja grew wings and became a real fairy. She didn’t need mods anymore because she could truly do magic. …Goodnight.
Some traits, like being an early riser, seem to stick forever.
Finally, Maja could enjoy playing in the snow!
The day passed so quickly in fun that before they knew it, evening had arrived.
It was time to say goodbye and head home.
Akito: It was wonderful having you visit. Such a shame it was so short.
Klara: You’re always welcome here. Especially you, little pumpkin. Here, have a candy from Grandma.
Maja: Tank you! Wuv you, Nana! Bye-bye!
