6. THE END OF VACATION (2)

As a responsible future parent, Filip found a new job—not only better paid but also with flexible hours to care for the baby. Starting today, he’ll be taking on treasure hunting contracts for the Sulani Treasure Museum.



Filip: I’m glad you came. You’ll see, everything will be fine.

Anna: How can you say that? What about my studies? I just started my final semester.

Filip: I called your university, and they’ll let you finish your studies here.



Anna: So, you’ve planned everything your way, huh?

Filip: I know this isn’t how it was supposed to be, and everything’s happening so fast. But trust me, everything will work out. We just need to have faith in the Watcher’s plans. And finally, we’ll live together. We’ll be a family.



The next morning, Ania tried to catch up on studies.

Filip: Wanna have some morning woohoo?

Anna: Are you serious? It’s hot, it’s stuffy, and the only "morning" thing I have is nausea. And I could really use some kava.

Filip: Okay, I’ll make some kava.

Anna: I changed my mind. Now I want cake.

Filip: Then I’ll just make kava for myself.



Anna’s mood swings started kicking in.

Anna: I’m going to be a terrible mother. My child is going to hate me.

Filip: What are you talking about? You’ll be a wonderful mom. Come on, let me give you a massage… Better?

Anna: Actually… maybe now I’d be up for a little woohoo?



That same day, Filip started a special work and prepared the baby’s room.



Anna: You built all this yourself? It looks amazing! Ohh… I think our little bean likes it too. Want to feel her kicking?

Filip: This is really happening—we’re really going to be parents!



Anna: Obviously, Omicsan… Oh, plumbob, I’m hopeless. I can’t even say it without messing up. Why am I even trying? I won’t pass this semester anyway.

Filip: You’re being too hard on yourself. They’re letting you take your exams here. You’ll see—tomorrow you’ll give birth, and by Monday, I’ll be taking care of the baby while you’re at university.

While treasure hunting for the museum, Filip discovered an ancient shipwreck! This valuable find definitely won’t go unnoticed by his supervisors.



Filip: Today’s the big day—third trimester. Ready?

Anna: I’m ready if you are.



Anna went for a walk since they say walking speeds up labor. Unfortunately, she forgot her bladder might not keep up.

Anna: Seriously? SERIOUSLY?! As if being as big as a balloon wasn’t enough, I peed myself 5 METERS FROM THE BATHROOM?!

Luckily, a warm, relaxing bath was already waiting at home.



Anna: Why is this taking so long? I should be giving birth by now! Do you think something’s wrong?

Filip: I’m sure everything’s fine. And you know what else might speed up labor?

Anna: Oh no, forget it. Everything hurts, and I need to pee again.



Someone decided to drop by for a nearly (un)announced visit!



Penny: I’m here!

Anna: Mom? What are you doing here? You didn’t have to come.

Penny: Of course I had to! My baby is about to have a baby. I’m here to help!



Penny: Do you know what you’ll name the baby yet?

Filip: In our family, the name is randomly picked at birth.

Penny: What a silly tradition. What if you end up with a name like Genowefa or Bogusław?

Filip: Well… there’s always that chance.

Penny: …



Anna: I think it’s starting! My water just broke!

Filip: What do I do, WHAT DO I DO?!

Penny: OMW, good thing I’m here. Go to the hospital, I’ll take care of everything here.



Doctor: Everything looks good. You’re only 2 cm dilated, it’s just the beginning of labor.

Anna: The beginning?! Did you hear that, Filip? It’s JUST the beginning!

Nurse: With this mod, labor can last up to a full day now. Not like before—bam, and it’s done.

Anna: A f-full day…?



Despite breathing exercises and bouncing on the birthing ball, it took a really long time.



And when the real labor finally began… the young dad fainted.

Anna: You’re beautiful, sweetie. And when Daddy wakes up, we’ll tell him your name is Maja.
