24. PARENTHOOD MODE

Maja is happy and in love with her little son. Jace is happy that Maja is happy and that they are back at home. And Marshmallow is happy that she can watch over next Drozd generation.

Marshmallow: Woof woof! [This little man forgot to go outside to do his business! Alarm, alarm!]




While one wants to go for a run to get fit and get back connection with the outside world, another one bravely faces a dirty diaper and more!





Other "children" also need care and love. So Jace took the dogs for a walk, and Maja stayed with Sebastian. But Marshmallow seemed somehow off. It turned out that she entered a senior age and longer walks were now tiring for her. Back at home, she got a big hug from Maja.




Time with a newborn is not easy. Maja finds that out the hard way, falling asleep in the armchair after putting Sebastian to bed. But not for long. She's barely fell asleep and it's already time to feed the little one again. At least she woke up and can take that evening bath...




The second half of the night they changed and it was Jace who kept watch.




Fortunately (or not) newborn stage isn't long and soon little Bastian was an infant. To his parents' delight, he rolled the Calm trait and got Maja's Gregarious trait.

Maja: He has your hair. And look, he's smiling!

Jace: He was smiling before too. 

Maja: But now he’s reached a milestone!




The very next day the first guest showed up! (And another milestone unlocked!)

Izi: Let me see my nephew! What a handsome guy! But I'll tell you Jace, he may have your hair, but apart from that he's just like Maja. You must be very proud and happy.

Maja: Oh yes, we are.





Maja: I'm going to put him to bed before he gets grumpy.

Izi: Grumpy? Such a sweet little angel?

Maja: Yeah... I'm going.

Izi: Wait, just a photo. Really, amazing resemblance.

[The photo on the wall is of course Maja, not Sebastian.]





Izi: You inspired us and now we are also thinking about having a baby.

Maja: Seriously? Wow, yes! Go for it!

Izi: I really think we should! And how's your return to work? Ready for your first day in the office?

Maja: I can't wait! Finally a break from diapers and breastfeeding!




Things aren't easy at night. The watchful Marshmallow and the unhappy Bastian have jointly alarmed about a dirty diaper. However, the hardships were rewarded.

Maja: Did you just learn to coo AND laugh?! My little genius! Who would have thought that poop can be so inspiring. 




Maya went to work, and Jace helps Bastian with the next milestones. It's a busy morning, but Bastian is a very quick learner!

Jace: And they said that the Calm one learns at slower pace. We'll prove them wrong, right kid?

Maja entering the office, bumped into Leinani. Great...

Leinani: Really warm day today. But I guess Al-Simhara was warmer, huh?

Maja: Indeed.

Leinani: I love traveling. Your stream was great, by the way. Maybe we can record a travel video together sometime?

Maja: Uh... sure, why not. Oh look, a meeting.




Maja: What's the occasion?

All: Surprise!

Monika: It's for your return! We also have a little gift for the baby.

Maja: You didn't have to! That's very nice of you.

Monika: But that's not all.




Monika: Your last videos were amazing. The adventure in the pyramids generated a lot of comments and interest, but the real hit was the stream from your wedding preparations. That's why we all agreed that you deserved a promotion to Niche Broadcaster. Congratulations!




Maja: Ok, so who tells me what happened to Leinani? She's nice to me?!

Alicja: After you ate with your streams, it was obvious you'd get the promotion, but she didn't like it. She even threatened that she got a job in some Ciudad Enomorada, but that's not even on the map yet!




Dominik: She even disappeared from the game save for a while!

Maja: But she's working here again.

Alicja: Monika agreed to take her back on the condition that she behaves.


[I had to delete Leinani, cause otherwise this rivalrly wouldn't go away, I think it got glitched in my save ;(]




Maja came back home with a sense of true fulfillment. She got a promotion and completed her Friend of the World aspiration. Jace was right, she can balance work and being a great parent. She won't let her son down, but she'll also continue to follow her other dreams.




Besides, with the promotion she got a third star of fame and an All-Nighter perk - this can be very useful when taking care of a child!

Chronicles of Del Sol Valley Izi's parents decided to take a break from the hustle of an ordinary city and went to an extraordinary city, full of celebrities on every corner. San Sequoia was close, so they first came to visit Izi, and then they started the actual vacation in Del Sol Valley. Hotspots were everywhere and full of famous Sims.
