25. KIDS DAY

Kids Day is the perfect time to visit the family and meet their youngest member! To celebrate, Maja is making a garden salad today (because she can't do much else) and is using this unique opportunity to record a film commissioned by the "Food on the Screen" channel. She's surprised that she did so well!

Finally the grandparents came to meet their first grandson.

Anna: He's so adorable.

Klara: I remember when Maja and Bea were so tiny.

Maja: I think I need to put him to bed now.

Klara: Give him to me, let me cuddle my great-grandson. 

Klara: Come on, honey, grandma's gonna put you to bed. I'm sure you'll grow up to be a wonderful person. I won't be here anymore, but I'll be watching over you from up there. Good night, little angel.

Maja: And what about Beata?

Filip: She finally confessed to Vaea that she was a mermaid, and he discovered that he had always felt like a child of the islands, and said he wanted to share the mermaid world with her.

Klara: He became a mermaid?

Filip: A Triton, mom!

Klara: Potayto, potahto.

Anna: ...So we talked to Grandma and we all decided that the house in Sulani would stay with Beata and Vaea.

Filip: And we moved in with Grandma so she wouldn't be alone and to help her around the house.

Maja: I think it's a great solution.

Filip: But of course we won't leave you in need either. Plus I still keep my offer to help with Bas.

Maja: How about tomorrow? Jace and I both work.

Anna: Dad will come one day, and I will the next. But we promise not to impose too much.

Maja: And Izi is pregnant! They're having twins, can you believe it??

Anna: OMW! How will the four of them manage in this small flat?

Maja: They'll probably be looking for something bigger soon...

Klara: I have a little present for you. It's for the future, so that you too can live in something bigger and most importantly your own.

Maja: Grandma... Oh my... You didn't have to!

Klara: And what am I supposed to do with all this money? May it serve you well. I love you, kid.

Granny Klara put Bastian to sleep so well that he didn't wake up at all, even after a huge first blowout (checked!). The Watcher somehow ignored the notification and so the diaper waited till the morning, when they were woken up by the doorbell and the arrival  of grandpa Filip.

Grandpa Filip quickly took over caring for little Bastian.

Filip: I only play with you for 2h and you already learnt to grab and roll over to back! I think I'm doing pretty well! So, what’s next? I know! Your grandpa was always very active, so let's go for an energetic walk!

Maja came back from work.

Maja: Is my dad here?

Jace: Still on a walk with Bastian.

Maja: And you're very busy?

Jace: I just finished a movie project, what's up?

Maja: What's up?! We have a free house and at least 15 minutes!

After the walk, the diaper needed changing. Maja quickly regretted taking care of it because Bastian decided to unlock his first pee on the caregiver.

Maja: Now wait here a sec! Look at you, clever guy! Now you know how to roll over to tummy too?

Meanwhile, Filip helped with dishes and rubbish.

In the morning before leaving, Filip made them breakfast. 

Maja: Thanks, Dad, for everything. 

Filip: It was my pleasure. 

After a day with Grandpa, Bastian slept through the night for the first time! He woke up in such a great mood that he started babbling.

But he didn't like being put on the mat.

Maja: OMW, Bas, is this some kind of revenge for me leaving you here for a moment? Mom has to pee sometimes too. And now we both have to take a bath. Eh, tell me what I'm supposed to do with you.

Clean and dressed, Bastian showed Maja his new skill.

Maja: You're already sitting! Wonderful! When Grandma comes, we'll finally try feeding in a highchair!

Bastian: A gu, ga ga. [Look mom, I'm going to put my toe in my mouth too!]

Anna: Aww, someone has Good Appetite quirk! Very good! Carrot puree to start with. Well, well, old recipes always work, don't they? Not like modern invention. Like avocado puree, who ever heard of giving something like that to child?? But what on earth are you doing?! Spitting quirk?  Seriously?!

While grandma went to bathroom, Bas thought it's funnier to learn Pincer Grasp on Marshmallow's nose than on toys.

M: Woof woof! [Don't you dare, little man! And when did you learn to crawl? They should look after you better. Okay, come on, I'll look after you.]

Meanwhile, Maja was incredibly lucky at work. She won the contest to show her channel during her favorite influencer's broadcast window! Needless to say, Maja gained a lot of new followers and secured her position as Online A-Lister. 

In the afternoon the family went to the park. It was a very nice time. Bastian unlocked a new milestone (his first trip!) and Hunter completed the obstacle course with only 1 mistake.
