9. HARD TO SAY NO

Autumn has arrived to San Sequoia. Girls, Maja, Izi and Enue came back to start 3rd semester of studies. At least 2 of them ;) 

Maja: And I think, this is everything! Who would have thought, my little mean sister would become a mermaid! And how about your summer? 




Izi: Right after I got home, I had a huge argument with my parents for failing my exams. But then everything else faded into the background, because dad decided to introduce me to the family business as part of his discipline... And he marked me a Vampire Slayer...




Izi: Then the daily training and studying began. It turned out that dad isn't so funny when he's not on stage... When it comes to vampires, he's deadly serious.




Izi: Eventually I even managed to defeat one vampire!




Izi: Thanks to Maxis, Enue finally visited me and we could spend some time together. Otherwise I don't know how I would have survived this week. Oh, and the local DJ let me play a bit at the club, so at least my DJ skills have improved!




Maja: What about studies?

Izi: I think I'll pass. Maybe I'll become a DJ like auntie Candy? I'm quite good at it! I rocked in San Myshuno!

Enue: But we need to talk with you about something else...




Izi: We want to move out and live together, just 2 of us. We found perfect flat in this building, just next floor.

Enue: We know it's surprising news for you, but we really need it.

Maja: No, come on, girls, I'm happy for you. And after all, it's the same building, right?




Despite what she said, it affected her a lot. For her, a Sim with a childish trait, it was the end of an era. Her best childhood friends moving out and leaving her here alone. And Tomi is far away in Tartosa and won't visit her until the weekend. Besides, he wouldn't understand.

Suddenly Maja felt very lonely. She needed to talk to someone about it. Someone who would truly understand. Only one person came to her mind. 

Maja: Hello, Jace? Do you have a moment?

Jace: For you always, Beautiful.




The next day after lecture.

Jace: I hope you're in a better mood today.

Maja: Yes, thanks for the chat yesterday, it was really helpful.

Jace: Cringe Sim always at your service!




Jace: Come on, I have another surprise.

Maja: A picnic?

Jace: Just in case you were still in a bad mood.

Maja: Is this a tart from Tartosa?

Jace: Yeah, but from the bakery downtown. My grandma was making a better one.




During lecture Maja thinks about how she'll pay the rent on her own. She should probably start looking for a roommate. Suddenly the professor's voice interrupted her thoughts.

Professor Scott: Mrs. Drozd, please stay after class, I'd like to discuss one topic with you.




Prof. Scott: I follow your activities on Simstagram and Trendi, and I'd like to offer you a job at my marketing agency, starting as a clickbait writer. What do you think?

Maja: Social media? Mrs. Scott, that sounds great! When can I start?

Prof. Scott: Great! I'll send you the details by e-mail. In the meantime, say hello to your dad and tell him that I'm still active in our high school scout troop, Piranhas.




Maja was checking her first home assignments when she got a call.

Someone: Your fifth cousin's grandfather died and left his fortune to you. Do you accept it?

Maja: Haha, sure, whatever.

Someone: Ok, the condition is to get married within a week. Good luck.

Maja: Haha, ok!




Maja: ...So I accepted this job, for me it's like a dream job.

Jace: Can you continue your studies?

Maja: Probably yes, it's an assigment work, e.g. today I have to check in the club.

Jace: Sounds nice! I'd like a job like that too!




Maja: Right? And you know what's best? Thanks to this, I'll be able to afford the rent, I won't have to look for a roommate. Talking about roommates... I see you've already replaced Chenoa.

Jace: Yes, Hunter and I hit it off right away.



 

Traditionally, karaoke night in Manzanita.

Maja: And this guy said I'll get money if I get married within 7 days. At first I thought Jace was pranking me, but it wasn't him. Do I even have that distant relatives?

Enue: Easy to check, get married with your boyfriend and see.

Maja: Haha, I have to tell him about it, just to see his face! 





Jace: And if he doesn't want to, I offer my services, as always.

Maja: You're always acting like that, Jace! You're lucky I like your pranks and cringe personality.




Maja finally fills in her work tasks. Her online popularity is growing! However, an unexpected call from her mom completely throws her off guard.

Anna: Do you think Dad and I should have a baby?

Maja: What? No, Mom, I don't think that's a good idea anymore.

Anna: You think so? You're probably right.

Well, no Anna, this time the Watcher doesn't think it's a good idea. So good that Maja said no to at least that proposal...

Chronicles of Del Sol Valley Izi's parents decided to take a break from the hustle of an ordinary city and went to an extraordinary city, full of celebrities on every corner.
