28. BAS DROZD TO STAR COMMAND

We're back in San Sequoia!

The Harvestfest and Bastian's birthday have arrived. The closest family and friends have already gathered at the Drozds' new home. It's hard to say who is most excited about the new space. Anyway, all of them, adults, children and dogs seem delighted.




Family and neighborly chats were in full swing. The Watcher didn't have to intervene much.




Jace: So now that I have my own studio, I could finally take up photography professionally.

Filip: Sounds good. You have to follow your dreams.

Jace: For now, fashion industry assignments, but later, who knows.

Izi: Okay, some of you had enough fun for today..




Finally it was time to blow out the candles on @icemunmun's masterful cake! Happy Birthday Bastian!

Bas rolled the Geek trait and I gave him Creative Genius aspiration. He also got the High Confidence and The Top-Notch Toddler traits.




Maja and Izi also blew out their candles today and proudly entered their 40s.

Maja: No comments on my age, please!




The next morning, Maja is not thrilled with the wrinkles she has discovered. Even the pluses around her head seem to whisper today "+40".

Maja: Time to put on some rejuvenating mask, hun.




Bas: Mom, what do you have on your face?

Maja: It's a breath of youth.

Bas: It looks like red mush. Bleeh...

Jace: Bas, remember the most important rule, mom is always beautiful and young.




Maja: Are you sure you can do it by yourself?

Jace: Of course! Hammer is my middle name!

Bas: Mom, don't disturb. Real men work here!




Maja: [whispering] Well, let me tell you, you look very sexy with that hammer.




Finally the treehouse is finished and decorated.

Bas: Mom, could I have a telescope on the top too? To look for alien spaceships and planets?

Maja: We'll see what we can do.

Bas: Thanks, Mom!

Maja: Oooh... it's a bit high up here.




Bas: Mission log, stardate 040924. My ship has run off course. I've crash-landed on a strange planet. Bas Drozd to Star Command. Come in, Star Command. I see two suspicious hairy individuals. I think they're locals. I don't know yet if they want to befriend me or eat me.




Meanwhile, Maja and Jace test the strength of the treehouse.

Maja: Oh! Your first day at school! You'll make lots of friends!

Bas: I already have friends, mom.

Maja: But you'll make new ones!

Bas: How much longer are these photos? I don't want to be late.

Maja: Give me another kiss.

Bas: Mom...




Jace has to take a top-notch fashion photo for Estella Landgraab. Izi agreed to help him and pose.

Izi: How should I pose? A smile will be okay?

Jace: Maybe bring some attitude?

Izi: That's good?

Jace: Maybe less attitude.

Estella was pleased.




Meanwhile a company "Pretty Ones" asked Maja for a video with beauty tips to promote their cosmetics. She was delighted with the blush, but the lipstick didn't really suit her. Well, they wanted a video, so they got it.




The Drozds live near good schools, so Jace doesn't worry about Bastian's education.

Jace: How was your first day at school, champ?

Bas: Great! I got an extra project.

Jace: Right on the first day?

Bas: Our teacher says, we learn by doing.




Jace: Anything else interesting was happening?

Bas: Not really. We ran laps in gym class to build up our stamina. But it was so boring.

Jace: Well, if you have to, you have to.




Bas: Or you're smarter than that and take an opportunity to rest. I hid under the stands and only came out for the last lap. No one noticed.

Jace: But exercising is important, son! To be full of energy!

Bas: A good nap gives you much more energy, dad.




Bas: Look, dad. We're almost done. Just this and... YES! IT WORKS!

Jace: Great! Now let's go finish your treehouse. There's still a few things to put in. Like a telescope, for example.

Bas: I'LL HAVE A TELESCOPE?! AWESOME!



 

Finally Bas could really play Space Explorer and look out for distant galaxies. That night, while sleeping in the treehouse, he managed to fulfill his aspiration. It was probably the fastest fulfilled aspiration ever! At least in this legacy.

Chronicles of Del Sol Valley Izi's parents decided to take a break from the hustle of an ordinary city and went to an extraordinary city, full of celebrities on every corner. San Sequoia was close, so they first came to visit Izi, and then they started the actual vacation in Del Sol Valley. Hotspots were everywhere and full of famous Sims.
