54. ECHOES OF TIME (2)

Enue changed into a special time traveler outfit. The weather was worsening with every second. Last calibration and selecting the target date. Here we go!

Enue stepped into the green light of the time portal, and then disappeared. Along with the portal.

Enue suddenly appeared in an unfamiliar place. What a strange pixelated world. And what’s up with her look?! It’s not even her hairstyle! And why she has so little money? Time to get a job... So, time travel is really possible...

On the 4th Sim day, she finally got a job in journalism.

Enue tried to get some information from her neighbors, but they were strangely uncommunicative. They quickly became annoyed and completely misunderstood her intentions. She herself also had trouble dealing with unmet needs and didn’t always feel like talking to others. Or doing anything, really.

Finally, Enue began looking around the area for information about the thief. She visited the gardener. And the restaurant. Even the zoologist shop, where she bought a dog. She named him Emit xD The Palm reader told her she was still alive... Well, good to know she’s alive, but the real question is, how does she catch the thief and get back to her time?!

Computers in these times were completely useless. On top of that, Enue had to pay to use them! But other entertainment from these times was fantastic! Too bad pool tables and slot machines didn’t exist in their time. Well, maybe someone will bring them back to the market one day, like the jukebox.

Unfortunately, despite spending so many days in these times (maybe even weeks, but how can you count that when there are no weekdays here!), Enue still wasn’t any closer to cracking the thief’s case. She decided to learn more about these times, so she bought a 60s newspaper.

Enue had been promoted to tabloid reporter. But sometimes you need to relax a little. She wondered how much time she already spent in these strange times. Thankfully, it seemed like Sims didn’t in the past!

Enue went to visit the museum. Finally, a familiar place, it even reminded her of the museum in Willow Creek. She wondered where these ancient exhibits came from, were there ancient Sims? Hmm... And what’s with this strange map? This world doesn’t resemble hers at all.

Life went on. However, there was still no sign of the thief. Enue also had no idea how to return to her own time. This was no longer fun. She began to sink into depression... Only her dog Emit had been offering her some comfort lately.

As a reporter, Enue sometimes visited the Studio Town and enjoyed its amenities. Eventually, she decided to try out the celebrity career for herself. As a journalist, she hadn’t discovered much. Maybe as a star, she would find the answers to her questions.

Many, many days later...

Photographer: That's it, sweetie, show them what you’ve got! Yes, darling, excellent! This will sell! It’s a pleasure working with a two-star celebrity like you. You’ve got potential!

Meanwhile, Enue discovered the magic town and started developing her magical skills. That would surely bring her closer to her goal! If she can’t find the thief, at least magic might help her get back home!

Thanks to her work as a celebrity and her magic, Enue finally had enough money for a vacation. Magic also helped her maintain friendships, a good mood, and a clean house.

And when she returned from her vacation, Enue had a pleasant surprise waiting for her! She had recently earned 5 stars, and now she has received the Simmy Award!!! Handed to her by none other than the legend herself, Marilyn Monroe!

Magic has its downsides too. Enue, as a joke, turned one of her friends into a frog, and a dragon ate her... RIP, dear riend.

Enue had really achieved a lot! However, she gave up the fame (after winning many awards) and returned to her journalism career. Thanks to her connections (and magic), she was promoted to National News Anchor quickly. And finally, she managed to grow a beanstalk big enough to climb!

Enue finally knew how to return to her own time! It was time to throw a farewell party. After all, Enue had spent quite a while here and met so many different Sims. The party was so successful that even Drew Carey showed up!

The day to return home had come. Enue didn't found the thief, but she will deal with that once she returns to her time. For now, it was time to climb that giant beanstalk.

OMW, is that... the ancient Sim Creator, Will Wright??? So, it worked! Now the ancient Creator would grant her wish!

Enue: Oh Great Will, please, take me home, back to my time!

Will Wright: Not yet, my little Sim, not yet.
